Thanks for your reply. Is that what all people climbing elbrus do? So you could say it's quite "safe" to leave tent & equipment while moving higher up during the day and then return to sleep low at camp. I also have a question wheter it's possible to have the last camp at Pastuckhova rocks instead of Diesel hut. Are there any good places for tents there? It seems as most(all?) people try to reach the summit from Diesel hut instead of Pastuckhova Rocks even though it must be much tougher since the distance is much larger. We were thinking of putting the last camp at Pastuckhova rocks. Is this a bad idea? And if so, why? // Lars
