Chances that your tent will be stolen higher than 3900 (the Barrels) are poor but exist. More chances that some belongings may be stolen from the tent so take documents, tickets and money along with you. Almost all people leave tents unattended there - there is nothing to do with this and this is the rick you can not avoid same as risks during climbing. However I strongly do not recommend to leave a tent in the valleys (except of some special places for tents) because there are many strangers and risk becomes much higher..
