Tenting above Diesel hut

There are two stony ridges above Diesel hut, it is possible to pitch the tent there (I spent 3-4 tent nights at that spot in September 2002). The altitude gain would be 100-250 height meters compared to Diesel hut (do not remember exactly). Between the stone ridges and the lower slope below Pasthukhova rocks the glacier is not very steep. Theoretically it would be possible to find a place to put up a tent there, practically I guess it would be difficult to anchor the tent in the bare ice well enough against the strong winds at sunset/dawn. I saw a small North Face tent pitched up at lower Pastukhova rocks, so it seems possible. You better have a tent which use little ground space for camping at Pastukhova rocks. For larger tents you would have a more difficult time finding a space (or use your ice axe heavily). A suggestion is that you walk up as far as possible on the stone ridges and put your tents there for a night? The next day walk up Pastukhova rocks without backpacks and check the situation, eventually move the tents to that place in the afternoon?
