Andrey Leontiev – a manager of Pilgrim tours and an experienced guide and Oksana Novak - our experienced guide left the lodge at 19.00. Meanwhile our other three guides came up to the Obelisk (4200 m), the place where two other Swedish guys Mathias and Michael who had descended faster stayed. Our guides asked for warm clothes because they were having an acclimatizing hike with a standard group and did not expect to climb higher at night. Swedish guys did not give them anything, saying that they needed the stuff themselves. In spite of it our guides decided to climb up. At 21.00 rescue guys caught up with Andrey and Oksana higher than the Pastuhkov Rocks(4760 m). At 23.00 rescue guys, Andrey and Oksana joined other three guides who were at the end of the diagonal (5000 m) of mt. Eibrus. At 24.00 the dead body was found on the saddle (5300 m). Henrik Rehnberg was lying on his stomach, the front part of the head was broken, the breast and the stomach were injured. Rescue guys and our guides saw it when they had put him on his back The only footprints stopped at 2 meters away from the body. It became clear that somebody had looked at the body in the distance and had run back, because the distance between steps on the way back was two sizes longer.
