End of May is ok. As for crampons.. I've never heard about soft snowbording shoes compatible with crampons.. I guess if such a pair exists it may be ok in other case you need another shoes for crampons and climbing itself. Traditional soft snoboarding shoes are very unsafe on icy slopes. Some people use rigid(plastic) shoes same as for skitouring (with proper bindings) that must be ok for crampons as well as for walking and climbing.
