We are an American team of 3 who would like to climb Elbrus in February 2005. We can get to Mineralnye Vody or Nalchik. We can also aid in planning the climb. Does anyone know of an independent guide that is interested in guiding a trip? We would like to complete the climb in 5-6 days. Is this possible at this time of year? Are snow shoes helpful during this time? I understand it is mostly icy. Can anyone offer any advice or information that may be helpful? Email or respond to thread.
